General description of cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device for data storage, the contents of which can later be read by the web servers in the domain that host the cookie. This information often consists of a series of numbers and letters that uniquely identify your computer and may contain other information. Certain cookies are placed by third parties acting on behalf of the website you are visiting. Cookies and similar technologies are used to store and respect your settings, allow you to log in, provide interest-based advertising, fight fraud, analyze the performance of their products, and achieve other legitimate purposes described below.

Use of cookies and similar technologies

Websites use cookies and similar technologies for a variety of purposes, depending on your environment or product, including:

Store your settings. Cookies are used to store your settings on your device and to improve the user experience. For example, if you enter a town name or zip code on a website to view local news or weather reports, depending on your settings, this information may be stored in a cookie so that you can return to the website to see the local information for you again. Because cookies store your settings, such as the language you want, you do not have to enter the settings again. If you disable interest-based ads, your opt-out setting will be stored in a cookie saved on your device.

Login and authentication. Cookies are used to authenticate you. When you sign in to a website with your personal account, your unique ID number and sign-in date are stored in an encrypted cookie placed on your device. This cookie allows you to navigate through the pages of your website without having to log in on each page. You can also save your login information so you don't have to sign in again each time you visit the site.

Security Cookies are used to process information that helps maintain the security of our products and to detect fraud and abuse.

Store information provided on a website. Cookies are used to remember the information you share. When you provide information to a website, such as adding products to the cart by the website, the data is stored in a cookie to remember the information.

Social media. Some websites also use social media cookies, such as those that allow a user to sign in to a social media service and share content with that service at the same time.

Feedback. Websites use cookies to send feedback to websites.

Interest-based advertising. Websites use cookies to collect information about your online activity and identify your interests in order to deliver the most interesting advertisements to you. You may opt out of receiving interest-based advertising from websites as described in this website's privacy statement.

Show ads. For example, websites use cookies to record how many visitors clicked on an ad and which ads appeared to you so that you do not see the same ads all the time.

Analytical data. Internal and external cookies and other identifiers are used to collect usage and performance data. For example, cookies are used to count the number of individual users of a website or service, or to compile other aggregate statistics about the operation of their products.

Performance. Websites use cookies to learn about and improve the performance of their products. For example, cookies are used to collect data to help with load balancing; thereby ensuring that their sites run continuously.

When you visit a website, not only that website but also third parties may place cookies on your device. For example: - Companies that perform services such as site analysis on their behalf may place cookies when they visit the site. - Companies that provide content such as videos, news, or ads on websites you visit may place their own cookies. These companies process the data in accordance with their own privacy policies, which may allow companies to collect data about their activities on different websites, applications, or online services and combine that information.

Managing Cookies Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to block cookies. See your browser's privacy or help documentation for instructions on disabling or deleting.

Certain websites cannot function without cookies. If you choose to disable cookies, you will not be able to log in or use certain features, and your cookie-based settings will be lost. If you delete cookies, all settings they control (including settings for ads) will be deleted and will need to be re-entered.
